Thrifty Car Rental has announced the opening of its new Jordan headquarters situated on Airport Road in close proximity to the airport and downtown Amman. Thrifty Jordan also opened branches in terminal 1 and 2 of the Amman airport.
Managing director, Majdi Jallad, said: “We needed to move to a bigger location to accommodate the increase in business from Jordan tourism. Our main business in Jordan is through international embassies, local corporations who receive international guests, congresses, events and tour destination management companies who expect superior service standards and the safe, quality cars that Thrifty has to offer.”
Thrifty’s business from leisure tourists in Jordan increased by 38% in 2010 compared to 2009.

Thrifty Jordan increased its fleet size by 10% in line with its expansion in Jordan. "Our fleet is a mix of small cars to larger 4WDs, but the most popular have been SUVs for family off-road trips and minivans which are usually booked by a holiday group of six or seven people,” said Jallad.
