Meridien Abu Dhabi's chef wins Chef of the Year

More than 1300 chefs  took part in the Emirates Salon Culinaire competition, which was held during Gulfood at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from 27 February to 2 March 2011.

From practical cooking competitions to banqueting show pieces,  chefs from across the Middle East and beyond showcased their talent this year. Daniel Brooker won the overall award of Chef of the Year for excellence in his field.

Brooker said “Being awarded the highest accolade by some of the most recognised experts of our industry is very flattering. I’m very proud to represent Le Meridien Abu Dhabi and Abu Dhabi as a city and Emirate at this competition.”
