Qatar Airways set to launch 2 for 1 ticket offer

Qatar Airways on Monday said it would offer two tickets for the price of one as part of a promotion to celebrate the launch of its 100th destination.

The Doha-based carrier will reach the milestone on April 6 with the start of flights to the Syrian city of Aleppo.

To celebrate, the airline said it will launch the 48-hour global promotion from midnight on Tuesday.

During this period, customers from around the world can book two tickets for the price of one by logging on to www.qatarairways.com/100.

The offer is valid for travel between May 1 to June 10, with travel having to be completed by June 11.

Akbar Al Baker, Qatar Airways CEO, said: "Through this amazing global promotion, we are pleased to give back and to share this historic moment with our customers."

Qatar Airways was ranked the third best airline among the top 10 carriers in the world in the annual Skytrax audit of global passenger travel.
