Iraq will be exhibiting at Arabian Travel Market for the first time ever this year, as the previously war-torn country looks to promote itself as a tourism destination, the organisers have confirmed.

Mark Walsh, exhibition director, ATM said: "This year we welcome representatives from the Iraqi travel sector to the show in Dubai for the first time. The Iraq tourism board / Al Rafidain Company for travel and tourism has confirmed 100 square metres of exhibition space and is poised to revive its travel and tourism sector."

Other new destinations signed up for the show which takes place from May 2-5 include Poland, Hungary, Mexico, Slovenia, Aqaba Ukraine and Chad.

Organisers have predicted that over 2,100 exhibitors and 22,000 industry professionals will attend this year’s show.
