Accor holds 2011 road show in the Middle East

Accor recently hosted its ninth annual Middle East Roadshow with representatives from the company hailing from Europe (Paris, Amsterdam, Vienna, Brussel, Strasbourg), Asia (Thailand) and all Middle East countries including Egypt visited Dubai, Dammam, Jeddah, Riyadh and Kuwait.

Managing director of Accor ME Christophe Landais said: “2011 proves to be an optimistic year for Accor here in the Middle East. We started the year by announcing our development plan of opening 19 new hotels by 2014 in the region. The recently held Accor Middle East roadshow is an important undertaking for us at Accor as it enables us to strengthen our relationships with our valued partners and travel companies across the region”.

“It is a great opportunity to network and share with our customers the progress made by Accor over the past year, as well as discussing new stakes and opportunities of the travel industry in the region,” he added.

Vice president sales & marketing Accor ME, Philippe Seguin, commented: “The Middle East region is a vital outbound market for the region as well as for international destinations. During our road show across the GCC cities, Accor delegates presented their hotels and destinations (Sofitel, Pullman, MGallery, Novotel, Suite Novotel, Mercure, Adagio and ibis) and their 2011 offers to more than 820 leading travel agencies, tour operators and experts”.

Accor ME also hosted special dinner events to award top key clients in each destination for their great performance in 2010.

Currently operating 36 hotels in the Middle East, Accor ME has plans to increase its network to 55 new hotels representing 13,163 rooms by 2014.
