The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company has asserted that Lebanon remains a priority location in the brand’s Middle East plans.
Speaking to HotelierMiddleEast.com, Pascal Duchauffour, area vice president – Europe, Middle East & Africa The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company said he hoped to have a new development there soon.
“Lebanon remains a focus and a priority and we’ve looked at several possibilities, but we are not able to find the location and the right product and partnership, and we are still looking,” he explained.
Company global officer worldwide operations Bob Kharazmi confirmed the company had “always been focused on that market”.
“We have been there multiple times and I’m sure sometime, not long from now, there will be a great site,” he said.
“It’s a beautiful place and our guests do travel to that part of the world.”
The Ritz-Carlton plans to have properties in all the key capitals in the region.
