Embassy restaurant and nightclub to open in Dubai

The luxury Grosvenor House hotel in Dubai will feature the Middle East’s first Embassy restaurant and nightclub when it opens its new tower later this year.

Scheduled to open in November 2011, Embassy Dubai will be spread across the top floors of Grosvenor House Tower Two — the second tower of accommodation currently under development next to Grosvenor House in Dubai Marina.

Embassy Dubai will offer 360˚ views over Dubai Marina and feature a restaurant serving Modern European food. All floors will have private rooms and the new nightspot includes a 100% under lit LED dance floor.

The Dubai launch has been spearheaded by Concept Venues and Mark Fuller, who took over Embassy on Old Bond Street London in 1983 and established the venue as a regular hang-out for celebrities from George Michael and Elton John to singers from The Pussycat Dolls and Girls Aloud today.

Fuller is renowned in the UK hospitality industry for projects such as Sugar Reef and Red Cube Bar & Grill with Marco Pierre White, which he later sold for GBP7.5 million.

He set up Concept Venues in 2003 with Iron Maiden manager and chairman of Sanctuary Music Group Andy Taylor and opened Inn on the Green in Cookham Dean, Berkshire, a fine dining restaurant and hotel, before buying and refurbishing upmarket fish and chips restaurant Geales in Chelsea in 2007.

In March 2009, the duo opened the five-star, £10 million boutique private member’s hotel Soho Sanctum.
