RAK Hotels welcomes Victor Louis as COO

Ras Al Khaimah Hotels and Tourism Investment and Development Authority has appointed Victor A. Louis as its chief operating officer.

He will be responsible for managing the overall strategy including implementation and development of marketing and investment related solutions as well as establishing a framework to create and maintain an environment in which they can optimise the potential of the tourism industry, both at the economic and social levels.

“I am really pleased to take over this challenging and exciting position and being part of the process to enhance the image of Ras Al Khaimah as a first class tourist and business destination locally and internationally as well as an ideal place for stakeholders looking for solid investment opportunities,” he said.

Directly before his joining, Louis served as regional director of sales for Hilton Hotels and managed the overall business development activity of all Hilton properties across the Arabian Peninsula and the Indian Ocean.

He was looking after 18 Hilton Hotels including UAE, KSA, Bahrain, Qatar, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Mauritius and Seychelles.

Louis began his career in 1995 in Egypt and joined Hilton Hotels in 2000.
