Guests can 'dine in the dark' at Dubai golf club

Just in time for Halloween, the restaurant is holding a four-course meal in complete darkness in the hope diners will experience a “world of sensitivity” they haven’t before.

Enjoying your food in a darkened room will heighten your senses to the food’s taste and the converstation around you, organisers believe.

Diners meet their dinner companions for a welcome drink in Nineteen’s normally-lit lounge, before being guided to the darkened dining room where “sounds tell a story, aromas come alive, elegance is felt and friends are recognised by their voices”.
