The Ritz-Carlton Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) has introduced its first shisha sommelier at its new shisha terrace.
The shisha expert will offer guests a specialised menu of shisha flavours based on their personal preference, or paired to complement their selection of food and beverage.
Guests can even have a unique shisha blended for them and have the recipe noted for their next visit to the property.
“With the success of our Ramadan tent, we found that there was a niche to be filled in Dubai,” said Antony McNeil, executive assistant manager of food and beverage.
The shisha sommelier appointed is Sadek Zeineddine. A Lebanese national, Zeineddine is passionate about regional culture and cuisine, having worked in a food and beverage capacity in Lebanon, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and the UAE.
He was most recently with Sharq Village and Spa (a Ritz-Carlton hotel) in Doha prior to joining the pre-opening team of The Ritz-Carlton, DIFC.
The Shisha Terrace is located next to the pedestrian bridge connecting The Ritz-Carlton to the Dubai International Financial Centre. Its décor is inspired by modern Arabian culture with a variety of seating options situated around the outdoor water feature.
