A man who was found dead at Gloria Hotel in Dubai Media City on Saturday November 12 has been identified as a US businessman.

His death was caused by an overdose of medication used to fight depression and schizophrenia, according to Dubai Police.

Police are not treating the death of the 35-year-old American businessman they named as Tom J Anderson as a criminal case, The National reported.

Previously, the Tabnak website, which is close to Mohsen Rezaei, a prominent Iranian politician, had identified the dead man as Rezaei's son, Ahmad Rezaei, but police did not confirm that report.
