Hospitality Management Holdings (HMH) is to focus on Saudi Arabia as a growth area, the firm said in a statement.

The group already has 12 hotels, 38% of its portfolio, in the country – all of which were opened in the last five years.

The announcement was made in a sales meeting at its Coral Hotel Dhahran, where HMH regional general manager Rushdi Al Ashkar said: “Although HMH has only been operating in Saudi Arabia for five years, starting with the launch of the Coral International Hotel Al Khobar, we have already established a firm reputation for quality and international standards, while competing with exceptional value rates.

“With eight hotels under development, giving us an exceptional network across the Kingdom, the stage is set for HMH to become one of the leading players in the hospitality sector in the country poised to become one of the most dynamic in the region.”

The group will open its second Corp Executive Hotel in the country this year, in Al Khobar, as well as Coral Hotels in Dhahran and Jeddah.

The Coral brand was established in 2003 in Dubai, but HMH is also looking at the potential to develop its ECOS ‘green’ brand.
