One of the US’ top DJs and producers, Little Louie Vega, has taken a ride on the world’s fastest rollercoaster in Abu Dhabi.
The musician, one half of critically-acclaimed duo Master At Work, was in the UAE capital to perform for the Volvo Ocean Race when he went to Ferrari World to take a spin on Formula Rossa.
At a force of 4.8Gs and a speed of 240kmph, he and his wife Anane were shot 52 metres into the air on Yas Island.
New York-based Vega said: “There’s nothing little about this! It defies gravity and words and can put anyone in a spin.”
The fleets of the competition, as well as 100,000 fans, will be in the emirate until January 14.
Abu Dhabi’s Destination Village, the size of eight football pitches, will host activities and entertainment, including exhibitions, shows, game zones and restaurants and is open free to the public between 11am and 11pm daily and midnight on weekends.
