Gourmet Abu Dhabi festival mixes food and comedy

Italian comedian Ennio Marchetto is joining forces with Michelin-starred chef William Ledeuil for a night of food and laughter in Abu Dhabi.

Part of the 16-day culinary festival Gourmet Abu Dhabi, which runs from February 8-23 over 20 venues, the themed event at Crowne Plaza Abu Dhabi Yas Island on February 9 will see the transformational artist mix his unique brand of humour with Ledeuil’s emphasis on “colours, freshness and flavours”.

Noura Al Dhaheri of Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority’s Product Development Division also said: “It will be a night to remember in the company of two multi-award-winning professionals who have each revolutionised their particular arts.”

Marchetto, dubbed ‘The Living Cartoon’, mixes origami with theatrical magic, using physical comedy with an eclectic soundtrack. He added: “My act will have cross-nationality appeal as my songs are in English but the act is mainly a visual spectacular where speech is not required.”
