Travellers from India are revealed to have the biggest budgets when it comes to holiday spend.
A survey by YouGov revealed that the average spend for Indian travellers on their last holiday was US $4930; compared to $4166 for Saudi Arabian travellers.
But spend by travellers from India was strongly polarised with nearly half (49%) spending less than $3000, and almost one in five spending $10,000 or more.
Those travelling from Egypt and the Levant were revealed to have the lowest average trip budget among the region's holidaymakers (at $3129 and $3060).
YouGov's Travel Oracle survey canvassed around 26,000 people across the MENA and Subcontinent regions in an online poll. Responses were gathered between November 16 and December 5, 2011.
The findings were revealed to the British Business Group in Dubai in December last year.
