The 33-year-old MasterChef Australia judge George Calombaris will visit Abu Dhabi in February to host a celebrity dinner and a free-to-attend masterclass as part of Gourmet Abi Dhabi.
Known as the architect of modern Greek cuisine, Calombaris will start his three-date stint in the city on February 10 at Yas Island Rotana as host to a celebrity dinner. The following day he will demonstrate his culinary skills at the Armed Forces Officers Club & Hotel, before finishing on February 13 by starring in a chateau dinner at the Yas Viceroy Hotel.
Calombaris said: “I visited Abu Dhabi for the first time last year. What a city! I can’t believe how young it is yet how rich in tradition. It a real cultural city – and that’s something that really resonates with me.”
Noura Al Dhaheri from the Product Development Department of Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority said: “We anticipate sell-out events as George’s highly influential style of cuisine has earned him many accolades and much respect from culinary aficionados in Australia and around the globe.”
