A passenger travelling from Abu Dhabi to London has been accused of pouring alcohol over two employees at Abu Dhabi International Airport, it has been reported.

During an appearance at Abu Dhabi Court of First Instance yesterday, the British man denied the accusation and also refuted claims that he insulted the airport employees, assaulted security officers and consumed hashish.

The incident occurred after the passenger’s flight to the UK had been delayed, according to 7DAYS. While waiting, he allegedly started to drink small bottles of wines and was informed by airport officials that consuming alcohol in the waiting area was prohibited.

In response, he launched a barrage of abuse and poured some of the wine over employees, stated the prosecution, adding that security officers were also assaulted after trying to intervene.
