James Clarey, February 9th, 2012

Vivace restaurant at Four Seasons Hotel Amman in Jordan has got a new head chef in Luca Moriconi, after a short period at Four Seasons Hotel Damascus.

Moriconi has 10 years' experience in kitchens, both in Syria and in his homeland of Italy, where he worked at Four Seasons Firenze.

Khaled Bseiso, director of food & beverage at Four Seasons Hotel Amman, said: “Chef Luca brings an experienced palate and a great deal of flair to the preparation of authentic Italian food and we are excited to see what he has in store for diners here in Amman.”

Moriconi added: “I want to create a menu that showcases more than what one always associates with Italian food. The country has a very rich culinary heritage and each region has its own unique ingredients, techniques and favourites and this is what I want our guests to experience.”

He will bring a love of Italian ingredients and flavours to the restaurant, working on Tuscan favourites from his childhood in Lucca, Tuscany.
