Doha's highest restaurant to open in luxury hotel

Intercontinental Doha The City is to open the highest restaurant in the city, its new signature outlet, Strata.

The seafood restaurant, located on floors 55 and 56 of the West Bay tower, will open in March 2012.

Specialities of the restaurant will be chilled seafood dishes, with seafood platters, sushi and sashimi on the menu, as well as a range of modern dishes, focussing on sous-vide styles, using molecular gastronomy.

As well as Strata, InterContinental will offer five other restaurants and two lounge areas, including The Square, for all-day dining, which will span the entire second floor and have four live cooking stations.

One of its lounges will be Hive, which will serve a selection of light bites such as Tuna and Sesame Tataki, Seaweed Salad and Yakisushi Nori, as well as Mushroom Ragout and Ricotta Fried Ravioli.

InterContinental Doha the City will open in February 2012, along with The Square and Hive.
