Etihad wants to hire 400 Omanis in 2012

Abu Dhabi carrier Etihad Airways wants to hire up to 400 new employees from Oman by the end of year, it was announced on Monday.


The carrier said it had received more than 3,000 applications to work for the airline from the Gulf Sultanate.


The jobs on offer range from cabin crew positions to maintenance jobs, technical engineering to cadet pilot and financing to airport ground services.


“Identifying and attracting talent, globally and locally, has always been imperative to our success. The Omani workforce is renowned for its skills and knowledge levels and we are delighted to offer eligible Omani nationals the opportunity to join Etihad Airways,” said Ray Gammell, Etihad Airways chief people and performance officer.
