James Clarey, April 24th, 2012

The Chedi Muscat has appointed Rika Rusnaeni as its new spa director for its 800m² facility.

She comes to the property with 10 years’ experience in the spa and wellness industry, having held operational and managerial roles at luxury resorts in the Maldives, Malaysia and Indonesia.

She was also part of the opening team for the Ananti Kumgang Mountain Golf and Spa Resort in North Korea, operated by General Hotel Management Ltd. She said her aim was to introduce tailored packages for each season and special occasion.

Rusaeni said: “The Spa at The Chedi Muscat is no ordinary spa. The combination of highly-skilled therapists with signature techniques, an extensive therapy and product menu and Zen-inspired interiors has enabled us to achieve a respectable position among the finest facilities in the region.”

She added: “I look forward to leading The Spa to new heights of success and introducing tailored packages to make every season and special occasion an even more indulgent and rewarding experience.”

A recipient of the ‘Ultimate Spa Award’ by Bespoke Magazine, The Spa at The Chedi Muscat was also recently nominated for the Best SPA category of the Middle East and North Africa Travel Awards 2012. It features 13 self-contained rooms and suites in addition to a Relaxation Lounge with views of the Gulf of Oman.
