Emirates Grand Hotel is undertaking the redevelopment of its F&B offering as well as its presidential and royal floors.
The Dubai property has announced it is to open three new restaurants – one today (May 6) and two on June 15. The first will be a Lebanese restaurant, with the other two being a steakhouse and an Asian restaurant, serving Japanese, Thai, Korean and Chinese food.
Frank Owens, group general manager & area director business development, said: “Previously, when I took over, we only had one outlet and for us to have between 650 to 900 in-house guests with only one restaurant, we lost a lot of business. We needed to give them a good choice of cuisine.”
He added: “In Saudi Arabia they don’t have all these different restaurants, so when they come here they are looking for that something different to experience a proper holiday.”
The hotel is also currently undergoing a revamp of its presidential floor and royal floor, on the 39th and 40th floors respectively. Each will have eight rooms and will be in operation from the end of May 2012.
