Atlas Hosptality, a division of the Dubai-based asset development and management company Atlas Group, has announced plans to open 20 Pascal Tepper bakeries in 36 months across the Middle East and South East Asia.

Some of the outlets will be owned, including two set to open in Dubai and Abu Dhabi by the end of 2012, while others will be run through a franchise model.

Managing director Siegfried Nierhaus said that their “pipeline plans are buoyant” and that they will look to markets including “Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Lebanon, Thailand, Japan and South Korea”.

“We have growing demand in the Middle East for the Pascal Tepper French bakery franchise concept which we will soon be launching,” he commented. “We are looking for partners who have existing experience in the F&B sector, a site to establish the brand, and funding of US $680,000.”

Pascal Tepper Dubai, located in Media City, is the first dine-in bakery concept outside of owner Pascal Tepper’s home of France, and opened in Q2 2011.

It includes a French patisserie collection of 75-plus items, signature recipes for bread, pastries, breakfasts, salads and sandwiches, plus a selection of premium tea, coffee as well as smoothies and shakes that are made with Pascal Tepper ice cream.

Its produce is created onsite at one of Atlas Hospitality’s three bakeries; the other two are located at Milk & Honey The Palm, and Milk & Honey Meadows Community Centre.
