Hyatt Hotels Dubai held a special prize-giving ceremony last week to reward employees who signed up the highest number of new Dine In By Hyatt loyalty members in a recent incentive programme.
The competitive drive started on January 17, and ran until April 14, 2012, in which time employees were encouraged to go out of their way to remind guests of the benefits of the scheme and enroll as many as possible.
Over the three months, 2146 members were enrolled, proving the programme a hugely successful initiative, according to Antonia Felgner, F&B marketing manager for Dine In By Hyatt.
“Looking at the results from 2010, we expected it to bring great results. However, the fact that we achieved such a high number is even better than expected and encourages our plans to run another incentive programme in Q4 2012.”
The prizes top performers were offered included: flight with Emirates Airlines to a destination of their choice, Lenovo laptops, Samsung mobiles, shopping vouchers and Etisalat vouchers.
The top three employees were named as: Joseph from Panini, Italian Cafe and Deli at Grand Hyatt Dubai, who enrolled 340 new members; Hasna from Awtar, the Lebanese restaurant at Grand Hyatt Dubai, who enrolled 301 new members; and Daniela from iZ, the Indian restaurant at Grand Hyatt Dubai who enrolled 179 new members.
The Dine In By Hyatt loyalty programme has approximately 22,000 members, 8,500 of which are active members. The 33 black card members spend over AED 50,000 a year, and the 130 gold members spend over AED 15,000.
