Both of the resorts use emission-free Club Car utility models, which are distributed through Hydroturf in the UAE, to trasnsport guests.

Tim Wise, senior vice president of Atlantis The Palm, said: “We chose Club Car because it’s a premium brand that matches our own brand image, and has an excellent reputation in the eyes of users. Our companies share a similar corporate ethos that stands for the utmost in quality, service and product, which is also important to us.”

He added: “Hydroturf was also able to satisfy our requirement to maintain and service the vehicles on-site on our behalf. This means that the downtime for each vehicle is minimised.”

Banyan Tree Al Wadi also use the cars for their room serice, housekeeping and maintainance. Anders Dimblad, general manager, said: “The resort sits on 100 hectares of desert plains and is designed to blend unassumingly into its striking desert backdrop. We needed a car with sufficiently robust tyres to ensure our guests and associates are both properly protected from the weather elements and comfortably transported throughout the resort.”
