Al Khozama Management Company has announced it is to operate two new hotels in Saudi Arabia, in Medina and Jeddah.
The five-star Medina property, operated under the Al Faisaliah brand, will open in the last quarter of 2012, and will include 495 rooms.
The hotel, which is being redeveloped from apartments, will also include spas for both men and women, as well as a 24-hour business centre.
Hussein Hatata, vice president – hotel division of Al Khozama Management Company, said: “We are going to shake this city from the hospitality point of view the way we did in Makkah – we are going to do this in the second holy city. We will introduce a butler service and it will put Medina into international travel awards.”
The company also announced it is to operate a four-star hotel in Jeddah under the Al Khozama brand, which will have a minimum of 200 rooms. It will be on the Red Sea side of the city.
Hatata said: “Our collection starts from city hotel, resort hotel, religious hotel and now sea hotel, so we have the variety for guests to move around us. And each is unique and in prime locations.”
