Citymax Dubai launches South African food festival

Huddle Sports Bar and Grill at Citymax Bur Dubai will launch it's 10-day South African food festival on May 17, 2012.

The outlet, which is known for its South African food, live music and sports, hopes to draw crowds with an extensive buffet priced at AED 50 (US $13.6), available every day from 7-11pm.

On May 19, the winner of the recently-held Potjiekos [traditional stew cooked in a cast iron] will have their recipe cooked and served to diners throughout the day.

A wine and grill evening will take place on May 22 from 7pm in association with the South African Business Council.

And on May 26 an hour-long eating competition will take place. In association with Spinneys, the fearless food lovers will compete to gobble as many Boerewors sausage rolls as possible.

South African Business Council members and members of the Emirates Culinary Guild, including Citymax Bur Dubai’s corporate executive chef, Robin Gomes, will judge the competition,a nd the winner will also have the honour of being featured on the Huddle Sports Bar and Grill’s wall of fame!

Organisers encourage diners to bring their vuvuzelas as well as their appetites.
