Bahrain national carrier Gulf Air is allowing passengers to view Euro 2012 matches live on air during flights, it was announced.


The airline, along with Sport 24, the 24-hour live sports channel produced by IMG Media, revealed the latest addition to the airline's onboard Global Live Television services.


Via the service, passengers can watch all the football tournaments during flights.

Gulf Air's SkyHub in-flight entertainment suite offers broadband internet access, mobile phone and live television services.


“It is another important milestone in our journey as we work to continuously improve our customer service and product offering, in particular SkyHub," said Gulf Air CEO Samer Majali.


In April, the carrier and Sport 24 announced plans to show live coverage of Formula One races as part of the carrier's in-flight entertainment services
