The Hospitality Management School Hamburg (HoFa Hamburg) has introduced cloud-based PMS into its curriculum.
Protel Air is now being used by students to give them an overview of the entire value chain of the hotel, and will highlight the benefits of different management systems.
Ansgar Jahns, responsible for tourism management and IT at the HoFa Hamburg, said: “At the HoFa Hamburg, we provide the students with a complete hands-on learning experience. A successful curriculum is not possible without it.
“As an innovative school, we always have our fingers on the pulse of the hospitality industry. With Protel Air, the students will work with an impressive and future-oriented solution that will give them insight to efficient and effective hotel management practices.”
In May, Ralf Berner, of Protel’s authorised dealer 42 GmbH, ran classes on the principles of multiple hotel management, looking at central SQL databases, mobile solutions for iPads and the benefits of software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions.
Protel Air, which was launched in March at ITB Berlin, features room planning and guest profiles, as well as housekeeping and e-commerce management.
