Millennium Hotel Abu Dhabi is to hold a Thai festival, showcasing the best in the country’s cuisine and hospitality, in collaboration with the Thai embassy in the UAE.

The festival, which takes place between September 30 and October 7, will see Thai chef Khun Anuwat fly in especially from Millennium Bangkok.

The week will also highlight Thai traditions and culture, with fruit-carving stations, traditional costumes being worn by staff and Thai massages available.

“The Millennium Hotel Abu Dhabi always takes pride to hold such festivals where cultural gaps become smaller and people get introduced to new habits, traditions and customs of other countries, thus leading to tourism promotion and growth,” said hotel general manager Ruprecht Schmitz.

“The smell of incense and exotic herbs will make visitors savour a moment of history recited by every corner in Citrus mesmerizing them with its richness and flavour. The colourful culinary panorama of Thailand will be opened to all the people as they travel through Citrus buffet picking the fabulous and varied tastes of Thailand, the land of smiles,” he added.

The hotel will also hold a Spanish festival in November, with flamenco dancer Carmen Iniesta arriving from Seville, Spain, to perform a show on November 15.
