Architects hired for Four Seasons Dubai project

A team of international architects and designers have been appointed to work on the recently-announced Four Seasons Resort Dubai, it was announced on Sunday.

H&H Investment and Development said in a statement that it has hired Californian consultancy WATG as concept architects, the UAE's DSA Architects International as lead architects and San Francisco's award-winning BAMO for the interior design.

The building's exterior will be in the Andalusian style, the Spanish Islamic style familiar within the region, the statement added.

The five-star resort, to be built on Jumeirah Beach Road in Dubai, is spread across 62,000 sq m and features a 4.45 hectare beachfront site including nearly 270m of private beach and 237 rooms including 188 guestrooms, 46 luxury suites, two Presidential Suites and an exclusive Royal Suite.

"From the architectural beauty of the exterior and innovative interior design to the practical aspects such as its location and amenities, the resort is set to raise the bar for luxury resorts in the region even higher."

Four Seasons in June signed a deal with Dubai-based Bright Start to launch its first property in the emirate.

The property is expected to open in mid-2014 and H&H Investment and Development is the development manager.

Hotel amenities will include three restaurants, a lobby-level coffee lounge, a rooftop venue and a food and beverage village situated on Beach Road.

A beach club and health club will feature an indoor pool, tennis courts with pro shop and gym and spinning studio in addition to two large outdoor pools and children's entertainment centre.

The resort will also features a luxury spa, ballroom, meeting rooms and 400-seat banquet hall.
