Three mild earthquakes hit the Oman Sea and areas in the northern regions of the UAE on Sunday evening, according to The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS).
The first quake registered 3.8 magnitude on the Richter Scale and occurred 33km of the coast of Fujairah at 20:13 local time, the NCMS said in a statement.
The second registered 4.6 magnitude, had its epicentre 200 km northeast of Fujairah and occurred at 20:38, while the third occurred at 21:07, had a magnitude of 3.1 and was 27 km north of Fujairah, the statement added.
The NCMS said residents in the areas felt the tremors. No damage was reported as a result of the quakes.
