People who inspire me: Michel Noblet

Noblet is a source of inspiration for many in the hotel industry, but who has spurred him to success?

1. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the prime minister and vice president of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai: His vision of transforming Dubai into an international hub for tourism and commerce is a reality today. I learnt from him that nothing is impossible if you have a vision.

2. Nelson Mandela famously said: “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”. Learning for me never stopped and it is one thing that I have never compromised on.

3. Mother Teresa. She once said “Peace begins with a smile”. If we have no peace, it’s because we have forgotten to smile. So keep on that smile and the world will smile back at you.

4. Henry Ford: I believe success of any company or group lies in working together. And this is something I truly admired in Henry Ford who had said “If everyone is moving forward together, then success takes care of itself”.

5. Conrad Hilton: Perseverance was probably his greatest asset. He had said, “Don’t ever quit. Success seems to be connected with action. Successful people keep moving. They make mistakes, but they don’t quit”.
