Raul Salcido has been welcomed at Ritz Carlton Dubai as its new general manager, bringing almost 20 years of experience with him to the property.
Prior to the move, he had spent three years at Ritz Carlton San Francisco, after having joined the company in 1993, when he started his career at Ritz Carlton Cancun.
He worked his way up to senior management, and finally to general manager, and then moved to other properties in the US, Caribbean and China.
This is Salcido’s first position in the Middle East. “It’s an extremely exciting time to be joining The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai as the hotel prepares its new extension, in what will be a turning point for five-star beachfront hospitality as we introduce a raft of new luxury experiences to the market,” he said.
Pascal Duchauffour, vice president, Europe and Middle East, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, LLC said: “Under Raul’s leadership, we look forward to marking the next corporate milestone on the road to ongoing success in the region.”
“As the first hotel under The Ritz-Carlton banner in the Gulf, this property has enjoyed a long and distinguished presence which is set to continue as we expand our current product,” he added.
