Pompeii Italian Restaurant, Dubai, is hosting its first festival of ‘fun, food and fitness.’
The event, with free entry to the general public, will see local restaurateurs from the Jumeirah Lake Towers area come together to promote the ideals of a healthy lifestyle
Activities will include, press up challenges, pasta eating contests, martial arts displays, belly dancing, music, bouncy castle and face painting.
Cheryl Vaughn, Marketing Director, Pompeii. Vaughn said: “Many us are aware of the issues the UAE faces with obesity and diabetes, so if we can provide some education, whilst entertaining people, we will feel value has been added to the local community
A number of Dubai restaurants will be promoting their healthy menu choices, with live cooking stations providing interest for foodies, and the health conscious.
“It is important that local businesses, and specifically restaurants, work together to promote health initiatives, and we are delighted by the response from those wanting to take part,” said Vaughn.
The festival will take place at 1 Lake Plaza, Cluster T, Jumeirah Lakes Towers, from 4pm to 8pm on Saturday 24th November 2012.
