UAE Islamic finance provider Tamweel said on Sunday it remained committed to "ensuring the well-being" of residents affected by a major blaze at one of its Dubai towers.
Following the outbreak of a fire in the early hours of Sunday at Tamweel Tower, a 34-storey, mixed-use tower in Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Tamweel said it was "working very closely" with Dubai Civil Defence in a bid to help owners and residents.
The company confirmed that the fire had been contained and that there were no causalities.
"At Tamweel, our very highest priority is the safety and well-being of the owners and residents," said Varun Sood, acting CEO, Tamweel.
"Our staff are on site and have provided transportation and hotel accommodation, in coordination with DMCC, to any resident who requires such assistance. We will continue to work with the building's owners association to assist all residents and we remain fully committed to ensuring their well-being."
He added: "In line with our established business continuity plans, Tamweel is currently operating from its Business Avenue offices in Deira, Dubai, serving customers through our Deira and Abu Dhabi offices."
"We will continue to work closely with the Civil Defence, and remain wholly focused on the safety and well-being of the residents and staff."
The fire broke out at Tamweel Tower early on Sunday morning leading to hundreds of tenants being evacuated from the high rise building.
No cause has yet been announced and investigations are continuing.
