Caffe Vergnano 1882 has opened its first UAE venue at the Dubai Mall.

The new branch was opened by special guest Carlo Vergnano, chairman, at the Dubai Mall on Wednesday 21 November.

Caffe Vergnano is the oldest privately owned roaster in Italy. The brand has over 20 coffee boutiques in Italy as well as several international venues in key cities including London, Berlin, Hong Kong and Paris.

“The Middle East has its own coffee culture and coffee is a hugely popular beverage as it is generally enjoyed throughout the day and evening, so as part of our international expansion the region is a very important market for us. The demand for exceptional quality coffee is very high,” said Camille Aoun, director of business development Al Jassim – which owns and operates the brand in the Middle East.

The menu contains more than 27 specialist espresso creations ranging from the classic cappuccino through to the indulgent signature ‘1882’ – a mix of homemade layered hot chocolate, espresso and cream.

Key features in the new venue include a solid slate bar top that complements the chrome Belle Epoque espresso machine – considered one of the best coffee machines. Caffè Vergnano seats around 90 guests and overlooks the famous indoor waterfall on the Ground Level of Dubai Mall.

“The Dubai boutique stays true to its Italian heritage with all of the furniture and equipment coming over from specialist manufacturers in Italy and the sleek and modern interiors are ideal for such a dynamic and design focused city,” said Aoun.
