Conrad Dubai careers day attracts 5137 candidates

 Two recruitment days held by the soon-to-open Conrad Dubai attracted a staggering 5137 candidates.

 Hilton Worldwide’s 550-key property on Sheikh Zayed Road is expected to open in quarter two, 2013, and is recruiting for more than 700 positions across all levels.

The two recruitment days were held on November 23 and November 24 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

The applicants had the opportunity to meet the Conrad team already onboard, including the GM, heads of departments and line managers to discuss potential career opportunties, according to Nawaz Mahmood, director of human resources at the hotel.

Successful candidates were presented with an offer and contract on site.

Mahmood said there were many advantages to joining a preopening team: “To experience all three launch stages of a hotel, including pre-opening, launch and post-launch, is a great opportunity for professionals to acquire a wealth of knowledge, skills and exposure to the hospitality industry, and with Conrad Dubai, at a leading luxury standard. This is key in developing and furthering your career having had the chance to experience the entire process from the very beginning.”

He said the top assets sought-after were motivation and passion; personality and attitude, and experience.
