Raed Al Nuaimi has been named chief leisure and entertainment officer at Meraas Holding, in charge of translating Meraas’ overall vision for Dubai into the development of leisure projects and an annual entertainment calendar for tourists and residents.
The appointment comes off the back of an announcement of a 30-million square feet multi-themed park project under the directive of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice-president and prime minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, which will be built in Jebel Ali and developed by Meraas.
Al Nuaimi was previously executive director of business support with the engineer’s office at Meraas, where colleagues stated that he was particularly valued for his end-to-end project management skills, from conceptualisation to implementation.
“The new Leisure and Entertainment division, led by Raed Al Nuaimi, will offer us an opportunity to be creative in new ways, besides adding a significant dimension to the existing business,” said chairman of Meraas Holding Abdulla Ahmed Mohammed Al Habbai.
“Through this division, we are looking forward to developing a number of landmark projects that will redefine Dubai’s entertainment offerings and lifestyle.”
Meraas Holdings is a Dubai-based real estate company, developing master-planned communities, with operations and assets throughout the UAE and overseas.
