Scott's brings British seafood to Abu Dhabi

The sister establishment of Mayfair’s Scott’s restaurant in London recently opened in Jumeirah at Etihad Towers in Abu Dhabi.

The branch serves up traditional British seafood, shellfish, and seasonal game, with indoor and al-fresco dining options.

Chef de Cuisine, Carl Tichart oversees a menu that prominently features oysters, Shetland mussels, Cornish crab, Scottish smoked salmon, and a roasted shellfish platter with lobster, scallops, razor clams and tiger prawns.

Scott’s original branch is the second-oldest restaurant in London. It was opened by John Scott, a fishmonger, in 1851 as an oyster warehouse.

The outlet is rooted in London’s rich history. Ian Fleming, the originator of James Bond was often spotted at there throughout the 1950s and 1960s.

The Abu Dhabi outlet incorporates the same casual dining style of it’s London outpost, with its signature green onyx bench top.

Tiling, contemporary art installations, and banquette seating also mirror the Mayfair restaurant’s Art Deco style.

The Etihad Towers restaurant offers views of the sea and Arabian Gulf through its floor to ceiling glass walls It has its own landing jetty for boat and yacht access.

Scott’s is open for lunch and dinner and the oyster bar is open from 12pm to 1am everyday. The restaurant’s open terrace is available for private dining and events.
