Wyndham Hotel Group, part of Wyndham Worldwide Corporation, has introduced its Wyndham Hotels and Resorts brand to Turkey with the opening of the newly constructed, 210-room Wyndham Istanbul Kalamis Marina.

Located on the Asian coast of Istanbul, the franchised property is owned by Reisler Deri Sanayi Ve Ticaret Limited Sirketi, and adds to Wyndham Hotel Group’s presence in Turkey, joining 12 hotels currently open and operating under the Ramada brand.

The company plans to open its second Wyndham hotel in the country, the 306-room Wyndham Istanbul Petek, in summer 2013.

“Turkey is a vibrant country that plays a key role in our strategic plan to expand Wyndham Hotel Group’s portfolio in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and better serve lodging needs in major markets,” said Wyndham Hotel Group’s senior vice president and managing director, EMEA, Rui Barros.

The five-star hotel features 210 rooms over five floors, including specially designed family suites, five restaurants and cafés as well as fourteen multi-functional meeting rooms, including a ballroom which can accommodate up to 750 guests. The Blue Harmony Spa offers therapeutic treatments as well as a sauna, hammam and traditional Turkish baths while the fitness center boasts a separate gym and play area designed especially for children.
