Rezidor has appointed Konstantinos Kourotsidis as the new general manager of the Radisson Blu Martinez Hotel, Beirut.
Kourostsidis takes over from previous GM Nizam Bou Antoun who will be moving to Saudi Arabia as general manager of the Park inn by Radisson Al Khobar after spending four years and a half years in Beirut.
A Greek/German national and graduate from Cornell University in hotel revenue management, Kourotsidis originally started his hospitality career in food and beverage as commis de banquet at the Copthorne and Millennium Hotel, Hanover before later becoming demi chef, chef de banquet and finally restaurant supervisor.
In 2000 he joined Rezidor as service manager F&B at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Hanover and moved to Ireland a year later for the opening of the Radisson Blu Hotel in Galway as head waiter F&B before returning to Germany as F&B manager for the Radisson Blu Resort Schloss Fleesensee.
Kourostsidis began his career in the Middle East in 2005 when he assisted the pre-opening of the Radisson Blu Resort El Quseir in Egypt as F&B manager before being appointed director F&B at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Alexandria, Egypt in 2008.
He was later transferred to UAE as executive assistant manager of the Radisson Blu Resort Sharjah a year later and took his first general manager position at the Radisson Blu Al Mahary Hotel, Tripoli in April, 2012 and has been working as acting general manager of the Radisson Blu Resort, Fujairah in UAE since September 2012.
