New exec chef for Holiday Inn Dubai, Al Barsha

The Holiday Inn Dubai, Al Barsha has appointed Sandeep Kamal as its new executive chef, who moves from his previous position as executive chef at Rezidor’s Park Inn Muscat.

Chef Sandeep, an Indian national with a diploma in hotel management, has worked in hospitality in the Middle East for 10 years and started his career in the region as part of the pre-opening team of the Grand Hyatt Dubai.

“Sandeep is a very welcome addition to our team. Under his direction, we look forward to expanding our culinary menus and enhancing the reputation of the hotel as a dining destination with unique food and beverage concepts to suit a wide range of tastes,” said Holiday Inn Dubai, Al Barsha general manager JS Anand.

In his new role Sandeep will be responsible the hotel’s eight food and beverage outlets, six meeting rooms with a 400 people capacity as well as outside catering services and a team of 51 people.

Sandeep, a senior member of the Emirates Culinary Guild and founding member of the Oman Chefs’ Guild and Oman Food and Beverage Guild, started his career in India serving an internship at the Leela Kempinski before moving on to spend three years with Taj Hotels as Chef de Partie at various locations throughout the country.
