France's Claranor seeks distributor for UAE entry

First-time exhibitor at Gulfood 2013, France's Claranor was gaining considerable interest at the show for its packaging technologies which focus on minimising bacteria attack on dairy product and beverages.

The solutions work by using a xenon lamp which creates an intense flash, sterilising packaging.

The company has eight such solutions in the Saudi Arabia market and aimed to expand into the UAE by being present at Gulfood 2013.

“One of the reasons we believe our system is particularly useful for the UAE market is because it is a dry system and replaces the need for water and chemicals,” explained Christophe Riedel managing director.

In a region where water is a commodity, we should hope the product takes off,” he added.

“The company was on the lookout for regional distributors to allow its growth into the UAE.
