Shakespeare and Co. gears up for MidEast expansion

Popular cafe Shakespeare and Co., which launched in Dubai in 2001, is to venture into wider territory as it gears up for a launch in Amman, Jordan.

The cafe brand currently has 15 outlets in the UAE, and is already present in Oman, Qatar, Lebanon and the USA.

The management team at Shakespeare and Co. also revealed plans for further launches in the UAE plus a “chocolate-producing facility in order to handle the increasing demand” of its wrapped chocolate.

Franchising is also at the front of the management team’s mind.

“The time has come to capitalise on the dedicated efforts of creating a successful café-restaurant model that breaks a monotonous mold and truly stands out amidst the increasing competition. Supported by a strong management team, we believe this brand’s success is capable of translating to multiple international markets,” said director of sales and marketing Suzanne Blake.

The brand is expected to reveal new locations in the latter part of 2013.
