New GM for Radisson Blu Resort, Fujairah

The Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has appointed Janet Fitzner as the new general manager of the Radisson Blu Resort, Fujairah.

Fitzner, a German national, started her hospitality career in 1988 at the Inter-Continental Cologne and first joined Rezidor in 1992 as the Director of Sales & Marketing at the Radisson SAS Hotel in Dusseldorf.

Fitzner’s first general manager’s position came in 2000 at the Radisson SAS Hotel in Hannover before in 2007, while holding the general manager role at the Radisson Blu Centrum Hotel, Warsaw, she was promoted to district director of Poland, overseeing six hotels.

In 2010 Fitzner made the move from Europe to the UAE as General Manager at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Dubai Deira Creek where she was responsible for over 600 employees at the 276 room and 16 F&B venue hotel.

Holding a degree in Business Administration, Tourism & Transport Industry from the University Rheinland Pfalz, Worms in Germany Fitzner speaks English, French and Spanish as well as her native German.
