New Recruit: Cavalli Club's Ferdie Idris

Hotelier Middle East Staff, May 15th, 2013

What attracted you to the position of bar manager at Cavalli Club?
Cavalli Club is well-known in the Middle East. It is a highly recommended club, restaurant and lounge with luxury at the core of its concept and is translated into what is on offer, the interior and the high set of service standards.

What knowledge do you bring to the role?
I intend to bring bar schematic and create a systematic working environment at the Cavalli Club. I would also like to promote a sustainable working environment by saving energy wherever possible.

What are you most looking forward to as part of this new role?
I hope to gain more experience in the night life industry — it is all about learning. But I am most looking forward to working alongside an exceptional team, creating fun and flair behind the bar and providing our esteemed services to a very distinguished clientele.

How do you intend to make the bar area more profitable?
I will work to upgrade the skills of the bartenders, equipping them with the right tools and ensure we are not compromising on quality and our renowned rich set of offerings.

What is your favourite thing about the Cavalli Club?
I love the ambience, the luxury. It is a place with high standards and attracts a high profile clientele. Whether you work there or you go as a guest, you will always feel like you are special somehow, a celebrity in your own right. It is very prestigious.

Are there any exciting changes that you will be making to the bar area that you can tell us about?
We will be upgrading the skills of production, guest interaction and we want to propose bringing in some new and innovative equipment. In addition, we will be restructuring the work station to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of production. We will also introduce a new beverage menu structure based on increasing demands by clients, with a new look to the menu. I am also preparing to break a new Guinness World Record by creating the world's most expensive and innovative cocktail.
