A five-year-old girl from South London has drowned in a swimming pool at Egypt’s Coral Sea Waterworld hotel in the popular tourist destination, Sharm el-Sheikh according to a report by Sky News.
Chloe Johnson from South London died while on a family holiday at the resort.
Her grandmother told Sky News that the family was devastated by her death and asked why lifeguards had not been on hand to save her life.
She also claimed that her son had to take his daughter’s body to his hotel room and that it was four hours before an ambulance arrived.
In the interview Ms Johnson said her son was “in a very bad way,” describing Chloe as “his life”.
Travel operator First Choice has launched an investigation into the girl’s death.
