The Taj Palace Dubai is embarking on a GCC tour of key markets in Kuwait, Qatar and Saudi Arabia to promote a major refurbishment and upgrade project at the hotel.
The team tour will also promote its facilities as well as Dubai’s downtown Deira as a prime location within the emirate.
The upgrade programe spans all hotel rooms, apartments, restaurants, business and leisure facilities at the property.
Along with upgrades to drapes, upholstery and decorative items, some 12,000sq m of replacement carpets will revamp the hotel, while its restaurants are now offering new menus, one of which has rebranded as Al Waha, serving authentic Arabic fare and boasting a large fish tank housing local and exotic seafood.
According to the owner’s representative and DOF, Ahmed Badawy, with the upcoming summer holidays and Eid falling in August, the hotel is expecting keen interest from regional markets – particularly given the attraction of the popular annual Dubai Summer Surprises festival.
“Summer is always a time when GCC residents look to Dubai for a short break or a family holiday, and we will take advantage of the pre-booking season to familiarise the travel trade and potential customers with the new at look Taj Palace Hotel Dubai as well as our range of seasonal promotions,” he said.
The Taj Palace Hotel Dubai has 159 rooms and suites plus 90 apartments, in addition to dining, leisure options and a spa.
