Crowne Plaza Amman chefs have participated in the development of new hospitality programs at the Marka Vocational Training Centre in Amman with an aim of building careers in hospitality for the local youth and providing the highest levels of training for Jordan’s workforce.
Over the course of two months, the Crowne Plaza Amman chefs reviewed different curricula at the training centre related to the culinary industry, as well as organising training for both the centre’s tutors and its students in baking, pastry and Arabic food.
This program is part of a training initiative in conjuction with Jordan’s Tourism Development Project Siyaha with USAID – a $31.5 million, five-year project (2008-2013) that is working to improve Jordan’s competitiveness as an international tourism destination – along with other hotels from the private sector and the Government.
This is one of the many initiatives that Crowne Plaza Amman is keen on being part of, as it says it believes in the importance of building careers in the hospitality industry for the youth, as well as ensuring that they are provided with the highest levels of training to help them become a valued part of the workforce in Jordan.
Crowne Plaza Amman is a 279-key property with six restaurants and lounges in addition to a business center, spa and gym.
